Features
PlotCraft offers a range of features to help you create better stories. This guide covers each feature and how to use it effectively.
Research Mode
Research Mode enriches your story with factual accuracy by searching for relevant information before and during generation.
Research Modes
| Mode | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Off | No research, pure imagination | Fantasy, abstract concepts |
| Auto | Agents decide when to research | Most stories (recommended) |
| Thorough | Deep research before writing | Historical, technical, SCP |
Research Dossier
When research is enabled, PlotCraft creates a Research Dossier—a collection of facts, references, and background information the agents use while writing. You can view the dossier to see exactly what information informed your story.
Tip: For SCP stories, Thorough research mode pulls from known SCP lore to ensure your story fits the established universe.

Set your target story length in pages or words. The agents will aim to meet your target while maintaining quality.
