Features

PlotCraft offers a range of features to help you create better stories. This guide covers each feature and how to use it effectively.

Research Mode

Research Mode enriches your story with factual accuracy by searching for relevant information before and during generation.

Research Modes

ModeDescriptionBest For
OffNo research, pure imaginationFantasy, abstract concepts
AutoAgents decide when to researchMost stories (recommended)
ThoroughDeep research before writingHistorical, technical, SCP

Research Dossier

When research is enabled, PlotCraft creates a Research Dossier—a collection of facts, references, and background information the agents use while writing. You can view the dossier to see exactly what information informed your story.

Tip: For SCP stories, Thorough research mode pulls from known SCP lore to ensure your story fits the established universe.
